Tai Chi Flow

Develop Concentration: Ceaselessly fluid, unwinding, tirelessly unending...

Tai Chi (Taiji) is rooted in Taoist philosophy and symbolizes the principle of Yin / Yang. Taiji is the theoretical underpinning of Chinese cosmology. It is the fundamental principle of duality and change in the universe. Tai Chi is known as the Universal Law of Balance and Harmony.

Taiji represents the continuous interplay or dance between the two forces of nature, yin and yang. It describes how these two forces, by their nature, are in opposition; yet are complementary, interconnected, interdependent and interchanging within the natural world. Harmony is achieved when the yin and yang combined are in balance.

Tai Chi Flow is the modern-day practice incorporating the principles of Taiji Chuan; without the emphasis on the martial art aspect. Tai Chi Flow is series of simple flowing movements basically for exercise, stress relief, relaxation, health and fitness. It is a series of Qigong postures and movements linked together designed to calm and quiet the mind, to restore the smooth and soft regulation of breathing, to release physical tension and blockages, and to simply relax. Often referred to as a meditation in motion, the practice of Tai Chi Flow maintains homeostasis and optimum health, in body, mind and spirit.

Simplified Taiji Chuan

Develop Concentration: Yang Style Taiji Chuan – Simplified Form

Yang Style Taiji Chuan is one of the earliest systems of Taiji. Rather than teaching a lot of movement in a long form a short form of Yang Style was created emphasizing the fundamentals of Qigong. The development of a strong foundation in principle, method and form.

The principle is mindfulness; “the awareness of” and “the attention to” method and form.

The method relates to “correct structure and alignment,” “correct breathing” and “correct mental composure.”

The form consists of 5 movements (ward off, roll back, press, push, single whip) in 8 directions (4 sides & 4 corners,) counterclockwise and clockwise (connecting the left and right hemisphere of the brain.)

Tai Chi Qigong is the synthesis of meditation, breathing and movement performed slowly, evenly and fluidly, with a calm concentration of the mind; while supported with a rhythm of natural breathing and a gentle smile.

TESTIMONIALS

See what others think

Your energy and sense of humor helped me to put things in perspective and to work from a positive space to reconnect the pieces. The work not only softened layers of physical stagnation by working the energy of the organs, but just as importantly, detoxified and work through the emotional tangles and stress that co-existed with these diseases.

The turning point in my life occurred through your specific breathing technique while you have incorporated into your Chi Gong and Chi Nei Tzang abdominal  sessions. I cried for two days as I let go. Michael, I feel truly free for the first time to live in the present. What a glorious feeling. I now can be still.
